Early era fin of unknown origin, possibly foreign military – Circa most likley early 50’s
This pair of fins are unique in that they incorporate both a heel strap and a set of laces which seems somewhat odd since the boot pocket would be unlikely to cinch around the foot to a degree where the laces wouldn’t either stretch or tear away from the soft rubber lace loops. So this is probably an early design which quickly fell out of favor. Because they lack any manufacturers markings, it is likely they are of foreign origin where trademark stampings were less of a concern as they are in U.S. markets. Based upon the look and material type utilized in them it is quite conceivable that these fins date to the early 50’s and could have been Soviet military issue.
